The Artful GardenOn Wednesday, August 24, 2005, the beautiful grounds of Twisted Pine Studio on Head Lake in Haliburton hosted the Artful Garden. Approximately 150 visitors viewed and purchased art while sipping wine, sampling delicious hors d'oeuvres and listening to live music by Edward De Silva and the Highlands Brass Quintet. $5,200 was raised for the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation. Food sponsors included Wigamog Inn Resort, Bonnie View Inn, Franka's Delectables Catering and Ingoldsby Junction Butter Tarts. Wine was supplied by Fielding Estate Winery, Colio Estate Wines, Lacey's International and Pelee Island Winery. Artists Terry Adair, John Beachli, Sue Forbes, Case Bassie, Charles O'Neil, Jane Selbie, Barbara Joy Peel, Kim & Wilma Warne, Wayne & Sylvia Rose, Leo Watson, June Stone, W.J. Cornwall, Neil Cox, Collette Dionne, Larry Holden, and Jane Jaycock all donated a portion of their sales. A big thank you to the Ethel Curry Gallery for sponsoring the event.
